I think perhaps that Ipswich MP Chris Mole
goes into hospital to have whatever is irritating him removed from his cavity.
It may have been wrong for Jeremy Clarkson to make the prostitute death joke, but anyone who watches or reads Clarkson knows that he has always driven close to the edge with his narration, it is part of his broadcasting style. And if on this occasion he has toppled over the aforementioned edge then let him take the internal BBC slap on the wrist then get on with his career.
Chris Mole shouting for Mr Clarkson’s
dismissal is just a cheap way for him to get headlines, perhaps the excitement
of judging the Ipswich Yoyo competition in the previous week was just too much
for him and put him into a high which he felt he needed to peak once again.
Or perhaps he has never heard of the UK laws
that protect people from being sacked just because some idiot with a different
opinion jumps up and down.
People are so up their butts.

Although I do think it's a bit hypocritical that Clarkson keeps his job for making a so called joke that offends many people in a very unjust way, and Brand and Ross are demonised for making one joke that is true and didn't do any lasting harm.

Should have been dismissed instantly - the comment was completely unacceptable

JC is a reactionary wassock who believes everything he reads in the Daily Mail. The BBC needs to make sure people understand that stupid inflamatory comments can't be allowed - that goes for Ross and Brand also. It's not about censorship, it's just about thinking how you would feel if it was you or your family that was being besmirched.

But Suzy, humour is based on there being an underdog, in your world we couldn't make jokes about the welsh or people from Blyth, where would we be then?
Yes he went to far, but the internal telling off after such a long career should be enough.

Been thinking about this Ian - pondering if you will! I think for me the issue is with the forum in which these jokes are presented ie in public. If I was to make a joke about the welsh or people from blyth - I would not do it unless i was in private with friends who I knew would not be offended. I have been the butt of the joke at various times in my life and it feels horrible. I don't care if people make jokes about veggies or lessies (not my expression!) or whatever, I just would rather not hear them as it feels personal and horrible. I do think the JC remarks were indefensible and can't see how he thought that was okay.

I reckon that had it not been for the Ross/Brand palavar (? spelling) the week before that the Clarkson comment wouldn't have hit the headlines. I'm with you Ian, bit near the nuckle maybe but that's why we watch/read him.
