I still have a few days off, not back at work untiul QWednesday next week, but so far has been good.
On Monday I lost 90 minutes of my life to a film called Clone Wars. When advertised it looks like this
Which is sort of Star Warsy and looks ok, but when you get to the cinema what you get is this
Which is more Pokemon than Star Wars and with at least half of the voice acting quality.
Luckily I wasn't there for me and Kieran enjoyed it a lot. Now if he would just stop asking me about my favorite bit, because I dont want to share my relief as the credits rolled at the end.
Tuesday involved ironing, but as all men know that is just a job to be done, but Wednesday was wonderful, it promised rain but we went anyway...yes Beamish called and as PON is closed on Wednesday Rebecca was able to come with us.
So there was much 1900 discovery and picnics and one shower of rain and an excellent day out.
Beamish really does take a whole day to get around so if you are planning to go get there early. We went in about 10.30 and we got the last tram back up the hill at 5pm.
Then on Thursday a trip to Edinburgh zoo with Sophie and Kieran. It was slightly damper than the day before, but we still only had gto put up with one longer stronger shower.
We got to feed birds nectar and both Kieran and Sophie were very popular with them.
We followed the zoo visit with a run into Edinburgh where we saw a few parades and lots of street theatre.
It is Fringe time again and so it was a chance for Kieran and Sophie to see how busy it gets.
Kieran got some magic dust off a statue, of course he had to part with money, but the magic is still there. Sophie got shocked once or twice when a statue moved, that was fun to watch.
Today involved putting together furniture, who knows what the weekend will bring?
Fringe time again... I guess that means it's been a year since my visit. I love that picture of Kieran with the birds.

I love the one with Kieran with the birds too, but for the expression of that blond kid watching him!
I must go back to Beamish, I last was there over 25 years ago. I bet it's changed.
