catching up.......

I find that during this period on unemployment I have an excellent opportunity to catch up on things.
The first thing that I discovered was that with time on my hands I had the time to have a mid-life crisis.
This involves doing all the things that you always wanted to do AND buying a motorbike.
Im watching ebay for the bike at the moment, but as soon as the right one comes along at the right price I can get on with that part of my crisis.
Meanwhile I have been fishing which I'm not very good at. I have been fletching (for those of you without a dictionary I must explain that it doesnt involve donkeys and pasta)and I even bought one of those pans which you use to find gold in streams. I'm not sure if I will get the chance to play with it before I get over my crisis or get a job, but at least I have one now which is one step closer to panning (which I always wanted to try)
Now, if I could just fit into the jeans that I got into 20 years ago everything would be great.

I was really amused today, the BBC are usually very good on the news asking good questions. But today in the breaking story about problems with DNA testing in maternaty cases the poor girl on News 24 obviously hadnt read the questions first.

"Is it mainly men that request paternaty DNA tests" she asked the poor confused guest who somehow managed to keep a straight face and recovered quite well.

So ladies, when you have a baby, do you sometimes wonder if its actually yours, or did somone sneak it in when you were not looking.

I hate being unemployed.
Its just not me to be sitting around doing nothing.
Things are now so desperate that I have taken up fishing and Im not very good at that either.
The DIY is done and I have caught up on the ironing, things are getting desperate.
Maybe I will email silver and see if she has any DIY to be done, she's just moved to a new house.
Ho Hum.....bored bored bored.
