I'm sure that I will find the place, I'm not sure that I will find the place within the place I want to find.

Sadly I need to find two places within MK but luckily they have good signage.

 

Fitting two into one

I need one of these, this is the taxi that kept landing on the roof of De Beers last week ferrying very rich people around the capital. I'm a de'...surely because of that I should get a helicopter taxi.

I got my promotion on Friday, now head of IT as well as business development. I have to go to Stoke in a couple of weeks to learn our software, Stoke..... ok I need the internet to try and find out what on earth goes on in Stoke when I am going to be stuck there for a week.

I was wanting the new job to start today, but it started on Saturday, my day off except I don't have days off when I dont have Kieran so the IT thing started a few days early. Still, on the bright side the boss has decided to pay me a bit more so a bit of a whoop there :-)

So I am carrying on with the work that was there when I needed two monitors a few blog entrys back and on top of it I am building our iT infrastructure for a bigger future. We are growing, the business is doing well and I think I got into this place at just the right time, there is a good future here for me and for Simon if he digs in. Perhaps one day I will have a helicopter, nah...I would prefer to cycle.

Neeeed Sleeeeeep!

It's now Saturday and it was last Sunday night when I got a decent amount of sleep. The runaround and catch up to the runaround has been really draining. I think the kick in the head came Tuesday night after being up at 5am Tuesday morning to go to Edinburgh, then leaving Edinburgh at 8pm to drive to London.
The talks went well, and I am being booked in to do more. The boss is vary happy as I go out at £500 a day plus expenses so he thinks I am quite a profitable asset at the minute, I guess that was why he promoted me (sideways) and gave me my own company fuel card.....perhaps a bit more money would have been nice, but hey, at least I don't have to buy fuel anymore.

Yesterday I was interviewed by the BBC for the Inside Out programme. Monkey came along and as ever he was witty and charming so the presenter, director and cameraman wanted to be photographed with him. Perhaps I should ask him for lessons in being popular with real people.

Today, back in the office to see what is involved with that sideways promotion then off for a drive up the coast to see an old friend. Tomorrow ironing (oh the rock n roll life I lead)...I hope I get some sleep tonight...

Twice as busy

It reached a point today where I just couldn't manage with one monitor anymore, there are so many windows I need to have open at once that I just had to install a second monitor with extended display.

This means that there is now less room on my desk for the piles of paper that I need to have to remind me to do the things I need to do that get lost in the other piles of paper of things that I have to do that get covered by the lists of paper of things that others need me to do.

Perhaps a third monitor with a list on it....
Perhaps a bigger desk OR SOME HELP!!!
